Reflections of the Burning of the National Museum in Rio

In September 2018 the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro burned to the ground, leading to the destruction of artifacts and archives.
In January 2019, I was invited to discuss the issue of archival fragility in Latin America at a round table at the AHA out of which came this podcast for the American Historical Review.
